We're here!  We arrived on time in South Africa at 5:30 PM South African time, which is 8 hours ahead of central time.  We are all very tired after enduring a ~15 hour flight from Atlanta to Johannesburg, but everyone made the trip safely!  After getting off the plane, we breezed through immigration and even had time for a group photo in at the airport (see below).  We took our airport shuttle to our hotel (the Protea Centurion), where we spent the evening relaxing.  The drive to Centurion allowed us our first glimpse of the South African landscape.  After arriving at the hotel, some of the students went to supper, while others checked out the pool.  We are leaving at 6:30 AM tomorrow, so we hope to get plenty of sleep and rest before our first big day of adventure!
